The KIDS HOPE Seminars are designed to reach children whose birth-parents
are either divorced, separated, widowed, or never married.
The goal of our program is to help kids adjust to these family
transitions and to know that trouble can turn into HOPE.
We offer a program for children (grades 1-5) and a program for middle
and high school students (grades 6-12). The seminar begins on Friday
night from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and continues on Saturday from 9:00 -
3:00 p.m. The last hour of the seminar features a special program for
the parents and the kids.
The host church
recruits small group facilitators and Kids Hope provides an excellent
seminar speaker to direct the program. The goals of the seminar are to
help
kids know they are not alone, it is not their fault and it helps to talk
about their feelings.
Each child who participates in the KIDS HOPE Seminar is given a copy
of KIDS HOPE: An Interactive Workbook for Children/Teens in Single
Parent Families. This workbook steps each child through the Building
Blocks of Recovery:
